Description: This painting is for all our saltwater lovers and represents the different currents in the ocean. Aboriginal people used (and still use) the currents to help fish and travel. Some currents were uterlised for catching fish in long woven baskets. For those who lived near the beach, we waited for the tide to go out and placed large rocks in a 'J' shape. when the tide returned, the fish would become trapped in the bottom of the 'J' and were easy to catch.
